Ep. 88- Killing Bradford Pear, Empress Tree, and Chinaberry
Episode 88
Killing Bradford Pear, Empress Tree, and Chinaberry
Continuing the topic from the previous episode, Nathan describes some beautiful but terrible trees that have proven to be invasive species. Bradford Pear trees scatter across the south in our gardens, but now they are filling our woodlands and open spaces. Princess (Empress) tree promises attractive early purple flowers, but their thousands of seeds that follow have become an uncontrollable problem. Chinaberry was once prized for it's blossoms, stunning fall color, and shade, but it's now become a thug in every place it can find. Nathan discusses how to identify these garden bullies and how to eradicate them both chemically and organically. Work hard to rid these invasive species in your garden and we will all be happier.
